This watch is powered by a Seiko self-winding mechanical movement. Your activity powers the watch - the rotor inside turns and winds the gears automatically. The watch will hold power for around 40 hours when not worn. If the watch is not running, a gentle shake will spin the rotor, add a bit of power and start the watch running.
To wind manually (not normally necessary): unscrew the crown until it “pops out”, turn crown clockwise 10-20 times. Push in crown gently and screw clockwise to “close” it.
To set time: unscrew the crown until it “pops out”, pull out crown two clicks. Turn crown clockwise and anticlockwise to adjust time hands. Push in crown gently and screw clockwise to “close” it.
To set date: unscrew the crown until it “pops out”, pull out crown one click. Turn crown anticlockwise to advance the date. Push in crown gently and screw clockwise to “close” it. Note: to ensure longevity of the automatic date change function, avoid manually changing the date when the time hands are between 9pm-3am (the time when automatic date change would take place).
Always keep crown screwed down gently but fully in “closed” position when not winding or setting the watch. Bracelet features glide-lock adjustment clasp for adjusting the bracelet without using tools. (Please see attached video - 46 seconds)
Watch is rated for handwashing and rain resistance. It is most likely safe for swim or shower but we cannot guarantee water resistance. Enjoy your new watch!
